About

Our Mission:

The Greater Lansing CARE Foundation is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to providing support and education to caregivers who have a family member with dementia. The Foundation will strive to ensure that all caregivers have equal access to valuable community resources to reduce common physical, psychological, financial, and social caregiver burdens associated with the management of dementia processes. The Foundation will aim to provide services to families within the Greater Lansing area, particularly those from historically underserved populations.

Our Vision:

To ensure that no family member in the greater Lansing community ever feels as if they are alone when it comes to caring for a loved one with dementia.

Core C.A.R.E. Values:

C: Compassion: Empathy and compassion serve as a central Foundation principle based on the prioritization of good communication, patience, understanding, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.

A: Accountability & Reliability: The foundation pledges the highest level of accountability to those who serve to promote the goals of the Foundation and to those that it provides service. Providing reliable and ethical services to those who trust to utilize Foundation services is paramount.

R: Respect: Respect for the wide range of values and principles held by those who serve the foundation and for those whom it serves regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious expression, or physical/mental ability.

E: Expansion and Innovation: Creating innovative programming to enhance and advance the delivery of validated caregiver resources to families within the greater Lansing community.
